Austin personal injury firm Joe Lopez Law, P.C., through its El Joe Me Ayudó | Personal Injury Network brand, alongside Falcon Law Group PLLC, has secured a $7.5 million settlement for a client seriously injured in a May 2025 collision involving a commercial delivery vehicle.
The crash occurred after a delivery driver became distracted, missed a highway turn and abruptly applied the brakes. Despite these circumstances, the delivery company and its insurer maintained for more than a year that the injured client was responsible for the collision.
Through an extensive investigation, the legal team uncovered critical electronic evidence and obtained key witness testimony that challenged the company’s account. During a deposition, the investigating police officer reviewed previously unavailable video footage and other evidence, prompting him to change his opinion regarding responsibility for the crash.
“When you’re going up against a billion-dollar company, you cannot simply accept its version of events,” said attorney Joe Lopez. “You have to dig into the evidence, question the witnesses and be prepared to challenge the narrative.”
